Clay-Chalkville Schools were constructed to ease overcroding in Trussville Schools

Trussville city leaders and residents opened discussion of a city school system when Jefferson County Board of Education would not allow the City of Trussville to fund additional units for schools which were lost when the County had to reduce teachers units due to financial crisis

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar K. Paine donate land to build Paine Primary and Paine Intermediate School
